The event will take place on Saturday, October 10th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Bilingual Head‑Start Program, 440 East 116th Street, East Harlem, NY 10029.
The Festival del Libro is designed as a vibrant, family‑centered gathering that uplifts writers, readers, and local businesses while strengthening East Harlem’s cultural identity. The event will feature bilingual programming, book displays, community engagement activities, and opportunities for local authors and vendors to showcase their work.
“Celebrando la cultura, la lectura y nuestra comunidad — Celebrating culture, reading and our community” is the guiding theme of this year’s festival, reflecting La Fortaleza Project’s mission to use the arts as a catalyst for economic development, cultural pride, and community empowerment.
