Puerto Ricans in North Carolina

 Puerto Ricans in North Carolina

A not-for-profit grassroots movement for the development of the Puerto Rican community in North Carolina.

In 2010, a group of passionate Boricuas in North Carolina came together on social media to connect and support each other. Little did we know that our group would grow into something bigger. When Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, we became the official group of the "North Carolina for Puerto Rico" movement, providing much-needed aid. Today, we proudly return to our roots as the grassroots organization for Puerto Ricans in North Carolina. Welcome to Boricuas en North Carolina!

A Heartfelt Documentary on the Puerto Rican Community in the Tar Heel State

Boricua No Te Quites embarks on a vibrant and uplifting journey that celebrates the rich Puerto Rican culture through the lens of the last two Chinchorreos organized by Boricuas en North Carolina. These iconic events, which began as small gatherings, evolved into historic celebrations that attracted Puerto Ricans from near and far.

Despite the Chinchorreos coming to a close, this documentary seeks to remind us that the spirit of Puerto Rican culture remains alive and thriving. With an awe-inspiring attendance of over 15,000 people at the festivals, Boricua No Te Quites captures the essence of these historic events. This documentary is a love letter to the Puerto Rican diaspora, aiming to uplift and inspire. It celebrates the unity and cultural pride of the Puerto Rican community in North Carolina and beyond.
