Don't Miss These 7 Puerto Rican Cocktails

People love drinks, especially if they have the chance to taste a more sophisticated one. After all, this is one of the reasons why so many are eager to try natural CBD oil drinks. But Puerto Rican cocktails are such a treat and could make you fall in love with Puerto Rican culture.

Aside from the worldwide known pina colada, more Puerto Rican drinks are not as popular but can be extremely delicious. It would be best if you didn't miss out on them. Without further ado, here are 7 cocktails from Puerto Rico that you have to try.

1. Bacardi Shaken Daiquiri

hand shaken daiguiri

This cocktail can be found everywhere in Puerto Rico. It's simple to make, and you can even prepare it at home if you have what it takes. All you need is some lime, ice, two tablespoons of sugar, and some Bacardi Light rum. It has to be shaken very well before being served, and then you'll get to enjoy a delicious cocktail.

2. Amaretto Colada

Amaretto Colada is a different version of the Pina Colada. The only difference is that amaretto almond liqueur is added. This gives the cocktail a delicious flavor, one that is very nutty. It would be best to combine some amaretto, white rum, whipping cream, pineapple juice, and coconut cream. The ingredients should be all blended with some crushed ice. Then, you garnish the cocktail with a slice of pineapple or cherry. To enjoy the full experience, you should drink it in a hurricane glass.

3. Whiskey and Coconut Water

This cocktail is easy to make. Coconut water can be found at pretty much every bar in Puerto Rico as a mixer. Combine it with rum or whiskey and have it with some ice. It will be very refreshing.

4. Spiced Cherry

This is one of the most popular cocktails in bars in Puerto Rico. The ingredients used are cherry cola and spiced rum. For preparation, the two ingredients are mixed in a glass with ice, after which they're stirred.

5. Papa Jac

Papa Jac is known as the San Sebastian Festival's official cocktail, and it is very famous. It is produced using rum and passionfruit juice.

6. Chi Chi

Chi Chi became popular during the 1950s, and although it was forgotten for a while, people picked it up recently thanks to South Park, where it was featured. It's made using pineapple juice, cream, vodka, and coconut cream. After being mixed with ice, it is served in a hurricane or poco glass, garnished with a pineapple wedge or cherry.

7. Chicharito

This cocktail is also very delicious and has a slightly sweet flavor. It can be made using equal parts of white rum and anisette. The ingredients are shaken with ice, after which they are strained into a shot glass.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, Puerto Rico has many delicious cocktails that you shouldn't miss if you are ever visiting this amazing place. Try one or more of the above cocktails, and you will never want to leave Puerto Rico again.
